    About the Role As a member of the Investment Research Leadership Team, the Associate Director, Global Industry Research is responsible for providing strategic and talent management support to the Directors of Research in many areas related to markets/securities/ performance and investment philosophy and process.

    They will also drive strategic priorities for the department forward in line with the vision of the leadership team through strong project management and an iterative collaboration process with the global leadership team.

    If aligned with the skillset and desire of the individual, this position could lead to management of investors over time but not required.

    Conduct rigorous due diligence on GIAs/FICA's by studying and analyzing their P&P, and approach to research and rating.


    Broad sector and Market Analysis:
    Provide detailed analysis of sector and market trends to help understand what is and is not working in a sector and how that overlays with our GIAs/FICA's recommendations


    Management dashboard and reporting:

    Study and assess existing management reporting capabilities and collaborate with our iSci team to build and maintain a series of dashboards that highlight key performance information, investment recommendations, ownership at the firm and in the research portfolios.

    Help us identify and track Investment research KPIs.

    Strategic Initiatives:
    Play a leading role in managing the process for our strategic initiatives – including leading our MBA program.

    Early Career Investors:
    Work with the lead of the Early Career program and the directors in the management of these investors.


    • Drive the review group process including working with the directors to build agendas and materials for the meeting, taking and distributing notes and ensuring feedback is given and followed up on.

    The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working with investment professionals with a solid understanding of (equity or credit) fundamental research.

    We are seeking a mature thought partner with strong consulting orientation, superb judgment, and the ability to diagnosis, iterate, bring others along, influence and see through important projects.

    Ability to interpret investment performance information into actionable insights


    • Credibility to engage productively with senior investors and leaders, including ability to constructively challenge status quo and solve problems;
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate and integrate numerous viewpoints and mobilize/influence across all levels of the organization, including senior leaders;
    • The ability to manage, prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously
    • Conversant in data/technology with ability to think through next generation tools to support investment processes
    • Detail oriented – strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis, report preparation and documentation
    • Strong academic credentials; MBA and/or CFA (or equivalent) is preferred
