We are on the hunt for a Senior Inventory Accountant to make a list and check it twice (no reindeer needed).

Ensures the integrity and proper valuation of company inventory, COGS, gross margin, and gross profit by monitoring all interfaces and reconciling all inventory related accounts.

What You'll DoPerform month end closing activities and conduct variance analysis as part of the monthly performance reviewResearch and resolve all stock ledger and inventory discrepancies by coordinating with IT, warehouse, and other system ownersOwn all aspects of inventory accounting, cost, reserve calculations, and in-transit trackingMonitor, report on and analyze Distribution Centers cycle count programSupport planning and preparation activities related to periodic store physical inventory counts; perform analysis and reporting of results as neededSupport month-end close to finalize deliverables within set deadlinesMonitor systems and reporting to ensure the accuracy of the cost of goods sold and inventory countsPerform analytical review on selected General Ledger accounts and research unexpected or unusual resultsPerforms other duties, including ad hoc reporting, as neededMonitor all inventory landed cost components to ensure its recorded properly and timelyAssist with the quarterly internal and external auditing process & requestsWhat You'll NeedBS degree in Accounting or Business preferred (or equivalent experience)3-5 years inventory or cost accounting experience in retail environmentKnowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systemsKnowledge of Manhattan Active or similar WM systemsKnowledge of stock ledger and reconciling inventory subsidiary ledgersPriority will be given to candidate with Oracle inventory knowledgeAdvanced Excel, Pivot tables, LookupsSelf-directed, able to work independently, in a fast pace environment with a sense of urgencyDemonstrate quantitative and analytical skills for problem solvingStrong verbal and written communication skills are desired#J-18808-Ljbffr
