    Description
    Amentum, a large government contract company is seeking a Project Analyst Lead to support an aviation related program in the Pax River, MD area
    Responsibilities Performs repair, fabrication, modification and installation of sheet metal parts, items, and assemblies
    Works from brief oral and written instructions, pictures, tentative drawings and rough sketches
    Sheet metal mechanic work requires knowledge of the physical properties and working characteristics of sheet metal, knowledge of tools and equipment required in the sheet metal trade, and knowledge of shop mathematics and principles
    Most items are complex and require the employee to coordinate the work of several skilled trades in completing specialized work segments
    May be called upon to perform aviation welding
    In most cases, works directly with the engineer or scientist to solve difficult technical problems as they develop

    May participate in planning for manufacturing, kitting, or repair of items by determining facilities, equipment, material and number and type of personnel required.


    • Development accurate cost estimates and schedules for their respected Manufacturing Branch.
    • Create process plans in from provided technical data and output a work order / traveler for execution.
    • Populate, monitor, and update database with the necessary data to monitor cost, schedule, and performance for the Branch.
    • Manage and prioritize workload within the shops is order to meet set deadlines.
    • Develop, maintain, and deliver reports to APSD team members and customers (fabrication trackers, PRB's , bi-weekly status reports, ect.) .
    • Facilitate and resolve issues with technical data by communicating with project leads, engineers, quality control, and/or the customer for resolution.
    • Facilitate any out sourcing of manufacturing or special processes that APSD cannot perform in-house
    Experience High school diploma or equivalent experience Experience


    • A minimum of 10 years of experience performing stated functions.
    • General knowledge base of both mechanical aircraft modifications and mechanical installations.
    • Ability to fluently understand aircraft mechanical technical data (i.e
    mechanical drawings, Air Frame Change (AFC), Technical Directives (TD's).


    • Abillity to write and release work instructions of provided technical data using an MES Software application; or any other manufacturing software.
    • Able to perform and create documents using Microsft Applications (i.e
    Word, PowerPoint, Project).


    • Knowledge of the tools and machinery necessary to perform mechanical aircraft modifications and installations.
    • Knowledge of aircraft specifications.
    • Knowledge of cost estimating hours per the mechanical technical data for manufacturing shops (i.e
    Machine Shop, Sheet Metal Shop, Kitting).


    • Knowledge of scheduling project and resourcing within manufacturing shops
    Other Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
