    Job Description****EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO LAUNCH A BRAND-NEW AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER****

    The Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center, situated in the Potomac Yards area of Alexandria, is nearing completion in its construction phase. This cutting-edge facility will be a cornerstone of the newly established Inova medical campus, scheduled for inauguration in mid-2024.

    Boasting state-of-the-art infrastructure, the center will feature three (3) Operating Rooms, (3) Procedure/GI Suites, and 12 PreOp/PACU bays, all geared towards delivering top-tier medical services to our community.

    We're actively looking for seasoned Surgical Technologists to become integral members of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. The ideal candidates will bring expertise in one or more of the following specialties: General surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Gastrointestinal (GI), and Robotics.     WORK SCHEDULE: (Full-Time & PRN opportunities available)

    • Monday-Friday
    • Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays
    • 5 x 8s
    • 4 x , varied days off)

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Scrub surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
    • Assist with transferring patient to the operating room table; assist with positioning the patient, using appropriate equipment and anatomical principles to avoid patient injury
    • Perform initial instrument, sharps and sponge counts with the circulator
    • Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, equipment and rooms for surgical procedures
    • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedure
    • Recognize safety hazards and initiates appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures
    • Perform other related duties as a key member of the team supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • Two or more years of CST experience is highly desired
    • Completion of an appropriate technician program
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Surgical Tech certification or experience required
    • BLS certification is required
