Northcrest Rehab and Nursing *is seeking a * full-time Floor Technician/Maintenance Assistant. *Under supervision and according to prescribed procedures, the * Floor Technician shall be responsible for daily floor maintenance for both hard floor surfaces and carpet including refinishing hard floors and carpet extraction. Responsibilities also include ensuring cleanliness and servicing of assigned area and being able and willing to do all duties required of a housekeeper.
QUALIFICATIONS OF Floor Technician:
High school graduate
Experience in housekeeping and/or floor tech responsibilities in a long term care facility
SKILLS AND QUALITIES OF Floor Technician:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to respect all members of the healthcare team
Solid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality and
Patience, understanding and compassion for those requiring our care
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS of Maintenance Assistant:
Maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.
Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools
Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment
Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks, depending upon area of assignment, including posting general notices, pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, planting, replacing light bulbs, and moving furniture
Performs cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, and debris cleaning work areas and performing touch up work as needed
Sets up meeting areas for meetings and events
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
Delegated administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out assigned duties
QUALIFICATIONS OF Maintenance Assistant: Candidate must have experience in the following:
Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.
Painting
Service heating and cooling units/systems
General Maintenance Duties
