    We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our medical facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations and providing exceptional customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical receptionist role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology, office procedures, and excellent interpersonal skills.

    Part-time Monday through Thursday

    $14-$17 per hour (based of experience)

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
    • Answer phone calls promptly and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
    • Verify patient information and insurance details accurately.
    • Collect co-payments and process payments for services rendered.
    • Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
    • Coordinate referrals and obtain necessary authorizations as required.
    • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
    • Handle inquiries from patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
    • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in medical office administration is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a medical receptionist in a healthcare setting.
    • Computer efficient
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
