As a member of our team, you will work with physicists, engineers, chemists and biologists to tackle our sponsor's most important problems.
As a Nuclear Engineer...Your primary responsibility will be to conduct research and support efforts that contribute to our government sponsor's goals.
You will use your skills in nuclear physics, detector development, and radiation transport modeling to advance science toward the cutting edge in your field.
You will work with a diverse team that includes scientists of all backgrounds.You will propose your own work and explore new technologies using the many resources available to you at APL
Qualifications
You will meet our minimum requirements if you...
Have a Ph.
D. in nuclear physics, engineering, or a related field.
Have 3+ years of experience working with radiation detection systems, including design and build of detector systems.
Experienced with national defense research.
Are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
