    Job Description

    Core Responsibilities

    • Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.     • Coordinate and monitor field activities associated with public safety programs.
    • Plan, organize, schedule and ensure the assignment of contractor personnel to optimize productivity and meet operating goals and system conditions.
    • Monitor construction management in the oversight of contractor forces. Monitor and assist the Learning Center with contractor training
    • Monitor and track contractor work progress as well as current working estimate for the program. Issue reports as well as test findings.
    • Monitor program budget, issuing reports and updates as needed.
    • Manage database activities associated with the acquisition and reporting on of the operation, construction and maintenance of the secondary electric distribution system and associated equipment
    • Create and maintain Access, SQL, JAVA, HTML, SharePoint and other code to provide customers with real time and routine reports and interfaces. Enter, review, and trend secondary system performance data, including energized objects and electric shock reports.
    • Provide ad-hoc data analytics within short timeframes for event analysis and executive summaries.
    • Issue root cause analysis reports. Provide recommendations and strategies for future event mitigation and prevention.
    • Perform analysis of secondary events including manhole explosions, fires, and shocks through field visits, research, and modeling.
    • Monitor Public Service Commission mandated inspections and Quality Assurance programs. Provide recommendations and strategies for future event prevention and mitigation. Plans, organizes, schedules and ensures the assignment of personnel to optimize productivity and meet operating goals and system conditions
    • Respond to emergency calls by operating departments and makes field decisions within his/her area of responsibility
    • Work with Purchasing and Cost Management to create monitor purchase orders. Perform technical evaluations associated with program bidding process.
    • Perform field oversight and work in progress audits, when required, of contractor forces.
    • Creates and sustains a workplace environment that fosters professionalism, honesty, concern, excellence and teamwork.
    Required Education/Experience

    • High School Diploma/GED with 5 year relevant work experience or
    • Associate's Degree with 4 years relevant work experience or
    • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years relevant work experience

    • Bachelor's Degree
    Relevant Work Experience

    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, written and oral communication skills. Required
    • Experience in organizing meetings, and implementation of programs. Required
    • Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio, and .NET web applications. Preferred
    • Two years of technical experience in the electric distribution system (underground network secondary and/or overhead), specifically in the areas of installation, maintenance, repair, removal, replacement, testing and inspection preferred. Preferred
    • Knowledge of computer skills including but not limited to HTML, JAVA Script, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau development and Control Center applications such as Outage dashboard and EMOPSYS is preferred. Preferred
    • Ability to understand and interpret emergency tickets (b-tickets) and work requests, mapping systems such as M&S plates, field constructed drawings and layouts preferred. Preferred

    • Driver's License Required
    Other Physical Demands

    • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
    • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
