    We are Lockheed Martin Supporting our Fifth Generation Fighter, The F-35, your NDT knowledge will benefit you when developing new techniques that affect the full life cycle of NDT, including but not limited to, defect analysis, NDT method analysis, and inspection
    As an experienced professional in non-destructive testing, you may be sought after for ingenious solutions to complex problems

    Responsibilities include:

    • Prepare and advise on Technique Data Sheets (TDS), including evaluation of supplier/co-producer TDSs and procedures.
    • Prepare and review engineering specifications and participate in the development of NDI training course material for NDI Level I and Level II Inspection personnel.
    • Develop and evaluate new equipment technology Inspection Reference Parts (IRPs).
    • Assist in writing "Basis of Estimates" (BOEs) and assist NDI Test Engineering key team members in creating a budget and capital plans for the group.
    May be required to work 1st or 2nd shift and potential weekend shifts based on program needs
    Applies advanced technical principles, techniques, theories and concepts
    Contributes to the development of new principles and theories.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree (STEM) in Engineering, or physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Materials, Metallurgy, Mathematics)) or equivalent experience with current ASNT level 3 certifications.
    • Certified NDE Level III I.A.W
    NAS-410 or ASNT in a minimum of 3 methods with at least one certification in UT, ET, or PT

    • Minimum 5 years professional experience
    • Capability to acquire ASNT certification within 2 years
    • Experience using automated inspection systems
    • Experience with electronic drawing systems
    • Proficient with M.S
    Office suite

    Desired Skills:

    • ASNT certification in 5 disciplines
    • Level 2 certification in other methods
    • Experience performing supplier NDT audits
    • Experience approving supplier techniques & equipment
    • Experience working in a Union environment
    • Prior experience procuring NDI Equipment
    • Prior experience conducting Level 2 training

    Work Schedules:
    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees
    Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
