Job Summary
This CAT Scan Technologist performs diagnostic/therapeutic procedures under the direction of a radiologist. They review patient identification orders and history ensure correct patient procedure imaging site protocols with radiologist as needed transport patients to exam room assist them into position using safe patient handling techniques equipment perform CT procedures observe patient during procedure to ensure patients safety comfort administer contrast materials as required initiate emergency response to contrast reaction obtain evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors image laterality marking annotation required by CT procedure protocols utilize RIS PACS ancillary image management systems needed plan schedule coordinate daily workflow department activities maintain equipment efficient operating order perform document quality control testing contact service repair maintenance directed rotate throughout department staffing volume dictates participate orientation training in-servicing staff needed maintain orderly clean safe environment patients staff assigned area maintain stock inventory assigned perform other duties assignedJob description
