- Cleans restrooms, using prescribed equipment and chemicals, to include: sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and emptying trash.
- Spot cleans floors, switches, doors, and walls.
- Restocks soap and paper supplies. Vacuums floors.
- Completes light dusting as required.
- Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure the safety of staff and the public.
- Ability to follow directions and complete work assignments.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to walk and stand for a prolonged period of time as necessary to complete cleaning duties.
- Ability to routinely bend and lift to perform cleaning duties and use cleaning equipment. This includes but is not limited to operating backpack and push vacuums, floor buffers, sweeping and mopping floors, and moving desks and furniture as required.
- Ability to work with people with disabilities.
- Knowledge of custodial functions preferred but not required.
