    Description

    LPN job opportunity at Our Healthcare Team

    • Integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet patient and family needs
    • Assist the healthcare team in preventing illness and injury, maintaining wellness, and providing comfort
    • Provide direction, education, and assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level
    • Deliver and accurately document age-specific care to patients based on medical orders
    • Safely administer prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and interactions

    Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements:

    • LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible
    • Current LPN Licensure in Virginia AHA BLS Certification or equivalent

    Experience:

    • REQUIRED: Varies based on transitional duty assignment
    • PREFERRED: Previous experience as an LPN in acute care or relevant practice area

    Education/Training:

    • REQUIRED: Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing
    • PREFERRED: Not applicable

    Additional Position Requirements:

    • Age-specific groups served as appropriate based on transitional duty assignment
    • Physical Requirements: Lifting pounds; Exposure to potentially hazardous substances
    • Activities: Prolonged standing, sitting, bending, walking, climbing, reaching
    • Mental/Sensory: Recall, Reasoning, Problem solving, Hearing, Speaking, Writing, Reading, Logical thinking
    • Emotional: Steady pace, Intense customer interactions, Able to adapt to change
