    Description

    General Summary:

    Primary function will be to manage development, improvement, or capital projects from concept through launch. Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal resources to successfully launch projects on time and on budget. Candidate should be high energy, self-motivated, and capable of leading a cross functional group in a team environment. Candidate should be organized, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and meticulous. Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Capable of preparing and conducting technical presentations for customers and Senior Management.

    Must have a good working knowledge of injection molding, mold process troubleshooting, and injection molding equipment and presses.

    Education, training an experience:
    • Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent
    • Requires a minimum of 5-10 (ten) years in an injection molding manufacturing environment
    SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
    • Experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Projects
    • Experience with AutoCAD or other 2D design software
    • Experience with MRP or ERP systems
    Relationships:
    • Internal - all divisional personnel, particularly Engineering, Machine Shop, Sales, Planning, Manufacturing personnel, and Senior Management.
    • External - Vendors and Customer
    Supervises:
    • Gives guidance and direction as required to project team members
    Supervised By:
    • Manager of Industrial Engineering
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Develop a project plan, assemble a project team, and guide the project team through all stages of the process for all assigned projects
    • Work closely with JLC shareholders and customers to identify all project requirements
    • Create presentations to describe project proposals for internal reviews and approval
    • Gather project costs for quotation
    • Evaluate project impact to current manufacturing operations, including the creation of line layouts
    • Must be able to direct and assist the setup, install, and launch of new product lines, machines, or tools related to assigned projects
    • Maintain constant communication with internal and external contacts
    • Participates in specific cost-reduction programs
    Qualifications
