    Description
    *Senior Manufacturing Engineer**Dayton, OH**Permanent**$90K-$120K**About:

    With minimal guidance, you will offer technical support to both internal and external clients regarding parts processing for Turnkey operations.

    This entails assisting with pre-sales and post-sales endeavors. Your responsibilities include interpreting part blueprints, employing tooling and fixturing knowledge, and devising machine programming processes to fabricate parts. From project kickoff to final acceptance, I provide comprehensive turnkey support.

    *Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
    • Actively engage in project kickoff meetings.
    • Conduct pre-machine arrival engineering tasks.
    • Define technical parameters for cutting processes, tooling, and work holding.
    • Timely procurement of necessary tooling and work holding.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of approval prints.
    • Collaborate with Process Engineers for debugging and CNC programming.
    • Provide assistance for runoff gauge activities in Dayton and support Turnkey Sales as required.
    • Turnkey projects primarily involve Okuma CNC lathes and machining centers, catering to customers with mid to high volume manufacturing cells. Approximately 15% travel is anticipated, with most engineering work conducted in Dayton, Ohio, and occasional site visits for troubleshooting.
    • Preferably hold an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field.
    • Proficient in CNC programming, encompassing variable & macro programming, Okuma control, gage feedback systems optimization, probing routines, and Automation-related CNC programming.
    • Hands-on experience in setting up CNC lathes and/or CNC mills, preferably in job shop or high-volume manufacturing environments.
    • Ability to interpret part print tolerances and adapt processes accordingly.
    • Proficient in relevant software/programs for programming, documentation, and record-keeping, with desired experience in AutoCAD and 3-D software like Solidworks.
    *Additional Skills:
    • Strong business writing and documentation skills.
    • Demonstrated Project Management proficiency.
    • Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and divisions.
    • Possess a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
