Job description

As an Electrical Engineering Intern on the Stretch Hardware team, you will be part of a dynamic group that is building our newest commercial robot designed to remedy tough challenges within the warehouse space. In this role you will get the opportunity to design and troubleshoot Stretch's electrical systems.

What you will get to do:

  • Perform electrical PCBA design, integration, and PCB layout efforts

  • Apply your knowledge to inform robot builds, and debug complex electrical systems

  • Work on a range of systems from small sub-assemblies to fully integrated robots, including specification to design, prototype, reliability validation, and manufacturing

  • Potential to collaborate with mechanical, firmware, controls, perception software, and test engineers in small or large cross-disciplinary teams to design and bring robots to market

We are looking for someone: 

  • Currently pursuing a BSEE or related degree

  • Passion for working on electrical systems and robotics

  • Proficiency in electronics design fundamentals

  • Experience using schematic capture and PCB layout software (Altium or similar)

  • Ability to use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.

Bonus:

  • Demonstrated experience with circuit board and electrical system debug and failure analysis

  • Firmware or software development experience in C/C++

  • Working understanding of command-line Linux or a similar operating system

  • Ability to solder SMT PCB components

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas for this position.

The hourly pay range for this position is between $30-$45/ hour. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills, education and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
