- Analyze product or equipment requirements to create feasible designs.
- Review engineering proposals and technical data related to machinery design.
- Determine the practicality of new equipment installations or facility modifications considering various factors.
- Manage project expenses and capital projects by creating estimates, scopes, and budgets.
- Oversee project execution, contractor selection, and project closure.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mine, Industrial, or Electrical).
- 3-5 years of project management experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with Autocad software.
- Knowledge of federal mining regulations (MSHA).
- Understanding of mining techniques and equipment operation.
- Proficiency in mine ventilation systems, materials processing, and mine shaft maintenance.
- Ability to climb, crawl, and bend regularly.
- Capability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds frequently.
- Requirement to wear appropriate PPE, including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.
- Capacity to work safely in various outdoor temperatures throughout the year.
