    What Data Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health


    The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage.

    This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.

    Data Engineering ensures raw data is usable and accessible for the organization. Data Engineering encompasses numerous specialties of data acquisition, integration, and provisioning.

    Responsibilities:
    C ompile data extracts and providing subsequent high-level analysis
    B uilding queries and scripts that support team reporting
    Contribute to application database design and documentation
    Use knowledge of business application data to develop ad-hoc queries
    Contribute to Data-Analytics team data requests
    Review and approve application database changes and deployment scripts
    Execute with downstream analytics teams to ensure new and changed tables are synchronized with target data
    Coordinate the development of data quality and data monitoring initiatives
    A ssists with data management for required regulatory and compliance reporting
    P rovide technical support for NPHS data management and reporting systems
    Qualifications
    4-8 years of experience preferred
    BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred

    May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
    Works on complex projects of large scope
    Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
    Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
    Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects
    Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
    May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

    Anticipated salary range:
    $88,500 - $126,400
