- A two-year degree in a computer-related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting hardware running Windows OS, ChromeOS, and Apple iOS on a large wide area network
- Experience supporting software installations on an enterprise scale managed with Active Directory, GSuite for Education and Microsoft Office 365
- Relevant IT support coursework and certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft Technology Associate, ITIL Service Desk Management, Google IT Support preferred
- Knowledge of copyright and privacy laws applicable to K-12 Education
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet - professional manner
- Requires excellent customer communications and relations; strong documentation skills; team-oriented personality; natural multi-tasking and time-management abilities; critical thinking and ability to prioritize
- Must have regular and reliable attendance
- Possess a valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to independently lift and transport computer-related equipment

- Work with other IT support staff, systems managers, and on-site technicians to resolve issues in districts both on-site and while working remotely in the central office, and to maintain district networks and services
- Install, maintain, repair, upgrade and update computers, workstations, and other IT equipment hardware and software as directed using best practices, standards, automation, and documentation
- Identify problems with and help repair VoIP phones, printers, copiers, scanners, projectors, interactive boards, document cameras, and other classroom technology
- Track, prioritize, document, communicate and resolve IT support requests using the helpdesk ticket system
- Help train, teach and mentor high turnover part-time IT support student workers (interns)
- Accurately document software and hardware deployment as well as problems, solutions, processes, and procedures using the ticket system and collaboration software
- Document work performed for consortium members and others as required
- Clear, concise oral and written communication (phone, teams, email, and ticket)
- Utilize enterprise automation and remote access tools to update and deploy software
- Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting and repair of district hardware and software
- Set up and configure computer workstations and computer-related products
- Deploy operating system and software packages to computers
- Provide user training on educational technology applications and services
- Maintain client software/hardware inventory
- Work as a team with all IT support staff in the Eastern Upper Peninsula
- Travel to work site as onsite work is required
- As needed for completion of duties, attend meetings outside of normal working hours
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

The Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District (EUPISD) is one of 56 intermediate school districts (ISD) in Michigan. Every one of the state's 500+ local school districts is part of an ISD. The EUPISD is a regional education service agency with the primary function to provide, or assist our local districts to provide special programs and services. Within our ISD, there are 19 districts covering 4,000 square miles in three counties and part of another in the eastern end of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The total number of PK-12 students is 6,500.
The EUPISD serves local districts by providing educational services and support in special education, curriculum, early childhood, career and technical education, professional development, business services and technology. The EUPISD also pursues business, community, and interagency collaboration. The EUPISD has a long history of collaboration with our local districts that has resulted in the creation of a strong infrastructure in support of all aspects of teaching, learning, compliance, and fiscal management.
The EUPISD is funded with a combination of local, state, and federal funds. The voters of EUPISD have approved a 1.75 mill levy for special education, a .2 mill levy for general operations, and 1.0 mill levy for vocational education. State aid received is based on annual authorizations from the state legislature. Our current budget is $35 million. The EUPISD currently has 210 employee/contractors providing services to our local districts and students.
Purpose of Position: To provide the EUPISD and consortium members with remote and on-site software/hardware technical support for their computer systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Period of Employment: 230 days, 8 hours per day
