DevOps Engineer - North Palm Beach, United States - DSS, Inc.
Description
Position SummaryThe DevOps Engineer is responsible for modernizing our integration, testing, and deployment systems. This role requires a highly motivated individual capable of working independently in a rapidly evolving technical environment. The ideal candidate will be someone with a hybrid developer/system administration background.
Duties And Responsibilities
Individuals in this role will help teams understand and exploit opportunities to advance technical practices and help them build and adopt DevOps practices to reach engineering goals faster
Design, develop and support solutions which facilitate ease of service deployment, availability and operations
Own and define CI/CD best practices and guide the deployment with a practical set of pipelines
Help the team mature automated deployment and container utilization strategies
Develop and maintain custom built applications used to provide integrations
Work with our Network Operations, Development and Technical Services teams to develop a practical cloud deployment strategy
Provide objective insight to development team for driving down escalations, team efficiencies, and product uptime

Security And Privacy Duties And Responsibilities
Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties.
Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access.
Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.The preceding functions are examples of the work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments and make a reasonable accommodation as needed.
Qualifications
Experience building CI/CD pipelines
Experience with containerization and related technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
Experience with administering / monitoring infrastructure on bare metal, private/public cloud or hybrids (Azure, AWS, Open Stack, VM's, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills that can drive conversations in cross-team efforts towards consensus and action
Strong communication skills, with ability to cater discussions to all levels in organization (individual contributors, team leads, manager, director, VP)
Understanding of Web development technologies
Can work autonomously with minimal direction
Education
Required:
BS in Computer Science or related field
