**Description**
The Carmelite Sisters came to the Palm Beaches in 1960. Later named the Lourdes-Noreen McKeen Residence, the facility was the first of its kind in the area to provide nursing, long-term and seasonal housing for the elderly, all with the signature type of care that distinguished the order's approach from others. Today, our senior living community offers skilled nursing, short-term rehab, independent living and assisted living apartments.

**Painter Job Summary:**
Follows safety procedures when performing services, including the use of masks, goggles and gloves.
Prepares walls and other surfaces for painting.
Fills holes with putty, plaster or other fillings.
Scrapes, brushes, sands and/or chemically removes paints.
Mixes pigments, paint bases or other ingredients to obtain proper shade of color.
Applies paint with roller, brush or spray gun.
Cleans work area thoroughly when project is complete, including any window scraping or paint splatter.
Assists in routine maintenance duties and repairs to the facility as required or assigned by the Director.
Performs unscheduled maintenance and painting as required.
Assists others department members in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc.
Performs duties of Security Guard on a temporary or as needed basis.
Maintains confidentiality of resident information and honors residents personal and property rights. Knocks before entering any resident room.

**Painter Qualifications:**
Previous painting experience preferred.
Must be able to speak, read and write in English in an understandable manner.
Must be able to function independently, and be flexible, possess personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, visitors, and staff personnel.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
Is required to assist in the evacuation of residents.
Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays as assigned.
May be required to work in cramped spaces and in adverse weather conditions.
