- Reviewing technical specifications and design documents
- Conducting regression testing when needed
- Monitoring assurance metrics and process results
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related
- Previous work experience as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, or relevant position in the IT department with at least 3 years of experience as QA Automation Engineer
- Strong technical background
- Detail-oriented and possess excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Complete understanding of automation systems and databases
- Knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Basic knowledge of scripting and other related procedures
- Expertise in automation testing tools like Selenium, Katalon Studio, and Cucumber
- Understanding of testing protocols
- Know-how of different types of testing methods like white box and black box testing
- Familiarity with the software development process
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills

The QA Automation Engineer highlights problem areas and tracks bugs that hinder software installation.As a QA Automation Engineer, the role works in concert with the Developers, Product Owners, Project Managers to identify and test key features of software programs.
Apart from testing, the QA Automation Engineer develops well-planned and structured test plans/cases and investigates the causes of non-conforming software programs.
