    East Tennessee State University, College of Nursing is seeking a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Women's Health to work PRN in one or more of the College's Nurse Managed Clinics.


    This position will provide primary care for persons of all ages via scheduled appointments as well as on a walk-in basis by the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act; maintain documentation of all services; participate in outreach and screening activities; participate in quality assurance activities and staff meetings, and to maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position themself and balance. The employee must occasionally move (including lift, carry, push, and pull) up to 100 pounds or more.

    The employee must be able to perceive and respond to sounds and alarms; communicate effectively with others; be able to observe and monitor situations and details at close range in full and dimmed light.

    The employee may be required to move and/or stay in a stationary position in various settings for up to 12 hours at a time in addition to preparing and closing a clinical shift.

    Rapid mobility may also be required on occasion. Physical expectations of an assigned clinical facility may vary and be subject to change.

    Stress levels may be high due to frequently dealing with numerous students, patients, family members, and other healthcare providers. This position demands concentration and the ability to work in emotionally charged situations.

    Required Qualifications


    • Master's degree in nursing with preparation in advanced practice nursing including but not limited to: Women's Health and/or Obstetrics, Nurse midwifery, etc.
    • Eligible for an Advanced Practice Nurse license with a certificate of fitness to prescribe in the State of Tennessee.
    Preferred Qualifications


    • Minimum of one year's experience in a specialty area with a broad-range of clinical skills
