Job DescriptionPeoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a premier supplier pf axles, doors, venting products, and related components in the Albion area is seeking self-motivated Mig Welders to join their team on all shifts. The ideal candidate will be familiar with basic tools and equipment used in the welding industry and have experience with both MIG welding and metal fabrication. An effective MIG Welder will have a strong work ethic, have completed an apprenticeship/training program in welding and possess relevant work experience with proven quality welding work.
MIG Welder Job Summary:

• $ $24.75/hr
• 1st Shift: 6am - 2pm
• 2nd Shift: 2pm - 10pm
• 3rd Shift: 10pm - 6am
• Responsible for performing various welding activities using established production procedures.
• Lifting spindles into welder as well as cambers from welder to engraver, conveyer, and racks
• Lifting tubes into punch press and then into welder
• Operating welders
• Performing changeovers
• Performing quality checks
• Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
• Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
• Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
• Determining correct gas ratios.
• Testing the strength of each join during and after project completion.
• Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and free of debris daily
• You will be walking, kneeling, stretching, twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling as needed on the production line.

MIG Welder Qualifications:

• HS GED/Diploma preferred
• Previous steel welding experience required, minimum of 1 year experience
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to left up to 100 lbs
• Ability to assemble components correctly, accurately, safely, and efficiently to job requirements
• Basic Math skills
• Work as a team or individually.
• Be flexible with projects.
