- Required: Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy as a minimum.
- Required: Able to perform respiratory modalities and function well in various clinical settings.
- Required: Must be CRT or RRT as defined by the National board of Respiratory Care (N.B.R.C.) and currently licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Required: Current BLS,ACLS,PALS,NRP within 30 days of hire.

Join our team Laredo Medical Center's (LMC) Respiratory Department is now hiring a Respiratory Therapist Registered/Certified to work in our thriving department at LMC's 326 bed acute hospital.
Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:
Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders.
Collects and analyzes sputum and blood specimens ( ABG, Capillaries) to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.
Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required; Preferred a minimum of 2 years in the NICU managing patients on HFOV, Ventilators, Sipap's, High Flow Cannulas, and other modalities of oxygen delivery.
