    Job Purpose:

    This position will be responsible for the due diligence and preparation of commercial loan documents in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with regulations, internal policies and approval conditions. This position will require advanced proficiency and specialization with loan documentation such as SBA, Agriculture, Commercial Real Estate and Construction.

    Job Duties:

    This position will be assigned complex loan documentation requests both internally prepared and outside counsel prepared. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Will be responsible for the specialized knowledge and expertise of the most complex due diligence and documentation requests. These loan types include SBA, Agriculture, Commercial Real Estate and Construction.
  • Able to coordinate and complete all aspects of a loan closing.
  • Identify necessary due diligence and documentation items to create tracking item's checklists.
  • Assume responsibility for obtaining all necessary due diligence and documentation required as a condition of the loan closing.
  • Ability to work independently to communicate directly with borrowers and venders, and attorneys.
  • Responsible for follow up on outstanding due diligence items until all items are obtained.
  • Will review due diligence results and reconcile to approval and documentation guidelines.
  • Complete all pre-closing requirements.
  • Verify that all approvals have been obtained.
  • Prepare loans documents in accordance with credit approval.
  • Review attorney prepared documents for adherence to approval conditions. Supply any additional documentation needed
  • Prepare loan funding instructions and fund the loan accordingly
  • Complete the loan booking process and clear exceptions
  • Complete and process loan draw requests and loan payments
  • Responsible for the knowledge and understanding of Bank regulations and compliance issues with respect to commercial and consumer lending
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.
  • Education, Experience and Job Skills:

  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years in a commercial lending environment
  • 3-5 years of experience with commercial loan documentation
  • 3-5 years working in a financial services environment
  • 3-5 years experience with SBA loan documentation, including ability to obtain SBA authorizations and a current understanding of the SOP.
  • Experience using Baker Hill and CSi documentation systems preferred
  • Experience actively facilitating complex Commercial Loan closings
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with commercial/business loan documentation.
  • 3-5 years working in a financial services environment.
  • 3-5 years experience with SBA loan documentation, including ability to obtain SBA authorizations and a current understanding of the SOP.
