    Description

    The customer is actively seeking a Data Architect to design, develop, and implement the data architecture for the organization's program. This also includes working with stakeholders to understand their needs, designing and implementing data models, and developing and maintaining data pipelines. The Data Architect will also be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of the data architecture.

    • Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture, including data standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Manage holistic roadmap of architecture change initiatives across the Authority and coordinating requirements across different initiatives.
    • Facilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap and vision for information delivery and management, including the enterprise data warehouse, big data, BI & analytics, content management and data management.
    • Build and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artifacts including Entity Relationship Models, Data dictionary, classifications to aid data traceability
    • Design and implement data models.
    • Work with business units to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
    • Actively participate in the implementation of an Enterprise Information Management strategy and solution.
    • Be instrumental in Data Governance strategy definition and how the Authority evolves Data Governance practices and influence the adoption of data standards.
    • Build a framework of principles to ensure data integrity across the business applications.
    • Stay up to date on the latest data technologies and trends.
    • Provide training and support to staff on data management and usage.
    • Establish governance of business concepts to promote standardization of meaning and reduce duplication of data assets.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the migration process, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
    • Document the migration process and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum 10 years of progressive information management solutions and end-to-end development life-cycle support and SDLC processes.
    • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles
    • 7+ years of experience in data architecture and management.
    • Excellent problem solving and data modelling skills (logical, physical, sematic and integration models) including normalization, OLAP / OLTP principles and entity relationship analysis
    • Experience of mapping key Enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications
    • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, Data Lake, and data pipeline development.
    • Ability to lead complex, large-scale strategic initiatives
    • Experience with two or more vendors in any of the following areas including SQL Server, Oracle 11g, MySQL, SQL Data Warehouse Appliance, Oracle Exadata, Netezza, Teradata,Tableau, Qlikview, R, Oracle Endeca, Oracle OBIEE, SAP Business Objects, SAS and other Analytics Vendors with BI components
    • Experience in building and maintaining of an enterprise data model
    • Experience in implementing data pipelines using ETL and ELT technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache Nifi
    • Experienced in data architecture and management tools such as ER/Studio, Alation, and DataHub
    • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data analytics
    • Experience with security and compliance
