    Senior Data Analyst (Penn Immunology Institute)
    Data Analyst Senior

    Immune Health is a central hub for performing, curating, and analyzing patient immune assays to drive new discoveries and shift paradigms of clinical care.

    The vision of Immune Health is to transform routine human immune profiling in the clinical setting for impact across medical disciplines.

    Clinical cohorts are formed around scientific questions in conjunction with clinical leaders in the UPenn community. The Immune Health team processes and databases samples and then applies cutting-edge immune profiling and integrated data analysis. These data are translated in to quantitative, actionable immune health information that is delivered to clinical care teams.
    Flow and mass cytometry are key technologies within Immune Health and within the University of Pennsylvania Health System. This position will be responsible for oversight and leadership of cytometry data analytics within Immune Health.

    Day-to-day activities include developing and applying analytical pipelines to Immune Health cytometry data, providing bioinformatics insight to Immune Health investigators who are developing new clinical cohorts, and collaborating with the Assistant Director of Platforms to integrate high-dimensional flow cytometry operations with bioinformatics.

    This position will reside in Immune Health and collaborate closely with the University of Pennsylvania's Flow Core. Develop and implement novel cytometry analysis tools in partnership with the Flow Core.
    Collaborate to develop methodologies to integrate different data types in partnership with the Flow Core.
    Apply computational approaches to clinical and biological data to impact patient care and the health system
    Develop and implement standard cytometry pipelines to assess data quality and to provide basic immune profile overviews
    Assist scientific project leaders and researchers to design and analyze flow cytometry experiments to address specific questions
    Assist in computational logistics, including interacting with finance, platform managers, and IT to set up infrastructure for data management
    Oversee and maintain integrity of flow cytometry data management and storage
    Participate in scientific strategy, cohort and experiment design, data generation and management.

    Partner with IH leaders in Science & Operations and Platforms to ensure that bioinformatics considerations are given when designing cohorts, processing samples, and running assays.

    Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of data analyst experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required knowledge includes process and data modeling, data architectural development methodology and working knowledge of databases. Demonstrated competence in systems analysis and design and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
