    Job Description:

    Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking a Program Manager in Interventional Resources within the Clinical Trials Unit.

    The Program Manager will assume the leadership role in specified clinical trials from initial planning and development, through implementation and continued operation to final study closure through effective management of the compliance, financial and operational aspects of studies and coordination of clinic staff, ancillary departments, Principal Investigators, and other involved agencies.

    Major Responsibilities
    • Manages the clinical trial implementation process to include the development of study specific visit (outpatient and inpatient) checklists.
    • Creates phone screening questions based upon protocol to be used for recruitment; and
    • Schedules and manages the start-up meeting with all departments to determine specific needs and ensure all aspects of the clinical trial operation are met.
    • Oversees the regulatory functions of the clinical trial to include the submission of required clinical trial documentation to the IRB.
    • Coordinates study visits with agencies outside of PBRC to ensued compliance to protocol.
    • Runs and resolves Missing Data Reports to ensure all time points and information are appropriately and accurately entered into the database.
    • Provides ongoing communication with Principal Investigators and other clinical trial personnel; participate in clinical trial meetings as requested.
    • Organizes study monitor visits to include notifying staff and documentation preparation; be available for the monitor throughout the visit.
    • Works closely with clinical trials recruiting staff to ensure the effective identification and selection of study participants.
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Experience in performing clinical research functions such as informed consent, anthropometric measures, source documentations and regulatory document submissions.
    • Experience in developing and overseeing project/program operations required and interaction in large clinical trial networks.
    • Excellent organization and writing skills. Detailed oriented and ability to multitask.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn and use new computer programs quickly and effectively.
    • 0 - 2 years of experience for Program Manager 1
    • 3 - 5 years of experience for Program Manager 2
    • 5 + years of experience for Program Manager 3
