    Overview

    LMI is seeking a skilled Financial Management Consultant at our client site office in Washington, DC. The position requires performing program budget management support for the National Nuclear Security Administration.

    Responsibilities


    Support the Program Management Office Lead with oversight and review of field execution of the programs, analyzing financial performance including spend plans, forecasts, and cost/commitment data.

    Support the review of site generated program execution plans and project reports, and participation in reviews to ensure compliance with pertinent program and project management guidance
    Support the Program Director with budget formulation for the programs. This includes ensuring compliance with DP programming guidance, development of Integrated Prioritized Project Lists (IPPLs) based on partner site and various Federal Program manager inputs, and maintaining algorithms for allocation of program resources to the eight sites of the nuclear security enterprise
    Support the Program Director with program execution by drafting annual Program Implementation Plans, and preparing the monthly approved financial program (AFP), work authorizations, and statements of work to support the timely execution of the projects selected
    Develop periodic briefings for the Program Director and assist with development of various briefing packages for senior management presentations. Compile, and maintain the historical record of program accomplishments
    Assist the Program Director with revisions to planning guidance, Program Implementation Plans, project reporting systems, and other management processes, as needed, to ensure continued accomplishment of program objectives

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree business, finance, accounting, or in a related discipline
    5-10 years of work experience or Master's degree with 5+ years of work experience
    5+ years' experience with Federal budget formulation and execution
    Ability to work, at times, with multiple ambiguous projects
    Ability to navigate complex organizations
    Significant understanding of project management fundamentals and ability to work within project constraints
    Understanding of earned value concepts and application.
    Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    Excellent analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
    Excellent customer relationship management skills
    This position requires eligibility for a government security clearance. You must be a US citizen.
