- Develops and promulgates short- and long-range program plans, strategies, and policies in the performance of air and road transportation of hazardous materials and cargos.
- Ensures procedural compliance as it applies to air and ground transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Responsible for preparations and planning to implement established operation plans.
- Develops operational plans, goals, objectives, and milestones to assure effective convoy operations.
- Communicates with various levels of management, and federal, state, and local agencies related to transportation operations.

Summary
As a Supervisory Transportation Management Specialist in the Office of Secure Transportation (OST), Office of Mission Operations (OMO), Agent Operations Western Command (AOWC), you are responsible for managing the movement, distribution, and safe and secure transportation of nuclear weapons, components, and materials from points of manufacture, storage, or use, to authorized destinations within the U.S. nuclear weapons complex via ground and/or air transportation services.
