    Description

    Salary:
    $22 - $27 per hour
    A global plastics manufacturer supporting the automotive, medical, industrial and defense markets.

    • Responsible for developing and managing Human Resources functions, including staffing and recruitment, company policies and procedures, legal compliance, training and development, workers' compensation, and safety.

    Develop and maintain effective reporting systems for HR function, conducting surveys and special studies, preparing reports, and maintaining records.

    Serve in an advisory capacity to management and supervision, making recommendations.
    Represent the company in community projects and public/social gatherings.
    Recruit, interview, and participate in selecting hourly production candidates for vacant or new positions.
    Track job evaluation due dates, temporary employees, and turnover/absenteeism.
    Plan and coordinate personnel training, formulate policies, programs, and schedules, and maintain training records.
    Coordinate established training courses from community schools or outside consultants.

    Schedule and conduct meetings with administrative and hourly personnel to advise on new or updated programs, HR status, problem-solving, and communication of HR activities.

    Participate in Strategic Planning, administer company policies, and develop short- and long-range goals.
    Consult with Corporate HR to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.

    Set up and maintain workers' compensation files, review and file accident reports, and work to reduce lost employee time and unjust claims.

    Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.
    Minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing setting.
    Previous experience recruiting, interviewing and performing employee orientations
    Experience with plant safety and filing worker's comp claims
    Experience with strategic planning
    Strong computer and communication skills essential.
