    **Prep/Line Cook**

    Operations Simpsonville, South Carolina Minimum Experience **Entry-level** POSITION :

    Line Cook Staff

    RESPONSIBLE TO:

    Director of Food Services

    SUPERVISED BY:

    Administrator

    POSITION/INDIVIDUALS SUPERVISED:

    None

    INTERRELATIONSHIPS:

    Maintains open communication lines with Director of Food Services, administrator, intake coordinator, center staff, attending clinicians, patients and families. Liaisons with community agencies, vendors, and payors of health services.

    STATUS:

    Non-Exempt

    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Line Cook must be able to communicate with the client population and the staff of from a customer service-based model.

    Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sauting, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.

    Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

    Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.

    Keep all kitchen equipment in sanitary working condition.

    Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs

    Basic written and verbal communication skills

    Organizational skills

    Accuracy and speed in executing tasks

    Ability to work as a team member

    Follows directions and instructions

    Attend the monthly staff meeting and communicates daily with facility staff and administration.

    Keep temperature records on all refrigerators and freezers.

    Communicate supply needs to supervisor.

    Work independently and able to handle frequent interruptions.

    Must have good organizational skills.

    Must have good interpersonal skills.

    Performs duties independently, talking a proactive approach to problem situations, and seeking supervision on an as needed basis.

    Attends in-services and workshops to further professional development.

    Demonstrates objectivity and maturity under stress and responds positively to changing situations in the workplace.

    Performs in a professional manner and role- models a positive image.

    Communicates effectively with staff, independent contractors and vendors.

    Understands and adheres to legal guidelines pertaining to patient confidentiality and patient rights.
