    Role Summary:

    The Customer Success Field Associate role is the first step in Phytech's tiered development path to becoming a Customer Success Manager (CSM). As a Field Associate, you will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and field experience that builds your technical, agronomic, and customer success skills. You'll gain the foundational skills of field operations while being introduced to core customer success practices. You'll gain exposure to working with growers to support adoption and impact of Phytech's technology, setting the stage for future advancement into more strategic customer-facing roles.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Begin your journey to support growers in the field by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Phytech hardware.
    • Gain insights into how to guide customers through onboarding and the adoption of Phytech's digital tools.
    • Build trusted relationships with growers by offering reliable, responsive support.
    • Collect and relay critical field-level insights to the internal team to ensure optimal customer outcomes.
    • Gain exposure to educating and advising customers on irrigation best practices and interpreting actionable data.
    • Assist in expanding Phytech's presence within existing accounts through strong service and value demonstration.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of field activities, service issues, and grower feedback.

    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience or education in agriculture, with a strong desire to grow within the industry.
    • Passion for helping growers succeed and improving farm productivity through technology.
    • Comfortable working outdoors and independently in diverse field environments.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with growers.
    • Willingness to travel within a regional territory and work flexible hours during the growing season.

    Requirements:

    • Hands-on farming or agronomic experience.
    • Strong technical skills and problem-solving aptitude to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex machinery and equipment issues.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and effective customer interactions.
    • Possession of a valid driver's license and strong navigational skills to travel to customer sites.
    • Physical capability to pull, push, and lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs, as necessary for equipment installations and maintenance.
    • Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods during equipment maintenance.
    • Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dusty environments.
    • Proficiency in navigating uneven terrain, as required.
    • Competence in safely and effectively operating hand power tools, agricultural machinery, and vehicles.
    • Work autonomously, with little guidance.
    • Complete assigned tasks under time requirements and seasonal constraints.
    • Strong customer orientation and service focus.
    • Full-time work commitment to meet the demands of the role.

    Preferred:

    • Degree in agriculture, plant science, agronomy, or related field.
    • CCA, PCA, or CAIS certification (or working toward certification).
