    Job Description
    Insight Global is a seeking a Network Engineer, Associate , focused on day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will work closely customers, other engineers, and business units to provide an outstanding experience. This position will require 4-5 days a week in the office and be apart of an on-call incident rotation

    Responsibilities:
    Assist our customers to have a superior networking experience.
    Triage/troubleshoot networking issues at layers 1 and 2 of the open systems interconnect model.
    Effectively and efficiently respond to incidents and requests.
    Participate in on-call 24/7 rotation.
    Appropriately escalate issues to more knowledgeable engineers and peers as required.
    Engage external contract services as required.
    Use testing equipment to diagnose physical layer issues with fiber and copper networks
    Participate in project activities as needed.
    Physical installation of networking and telecom equipment.
    Serve as on-site eyes & ears for remote engineers.
    Apply configuration, updates, and patches to equipment for on-going maintenance.
    Mentor/cross-train other members of the team where appropriate.
    Deploy, configure, maintain network device specific UPS equipment.
    Create and maintain documentation as required.

    Skills and Requirements
    High School Diploma, Associates degree or higher preferred
    Experience with supporting and troubleshooting in a complex network environment and of physical network support (Racking, Cabling, etc.).
    Knowledge of diagnostic and monitoring tools (Wireshark, Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, Nagios, Fluke, Ekahau, OTDR, etc.)
    Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics into layman terms.
    Must be able to lift / carry up to 60lbs. null
