Position Summary:

The position must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced medical billing environment, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Candidate should be comfortable working with computers and computer storage systems and well versed in various types of filing systems and methodologies.

Able to meet deadlines daily, keeping up to date on work assignments.

This position is Hybrid and will require working from the facility in the morning, at home once case batching/scanning duties are fulfilled.

Timing may vary. Facility locations for pickup may change as new locations are added or electronic file feeds are implemented.

Facility:

Ogdon Regional Medical Center (North UT); 5475 South 500 East, Ogdon, UT 84405

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sending fax requests or utilizing hospital portals to obtain missing documentation. Keep track of requests ensuring prompt return of documents.
Obtain/pickup from facility/departments our anesthesia cases/OR Schedules.
Sorting and organizing cases according to guidelines.
Batch cases in groupings of no more than 25, according to guidelines.
Scan batched cases to PDF, uploading them to eBridge our medical record document housing system, assigning them to appropriate que according to guidelines.
When requested locate/provide back to coding/billing copies of document originals, if document not within the originals, pull from facility portal sending to requesting staff member timely per training guidelines.
Reconciliation of hospital schedules, case logs, spreadsheets to billing system, when necessary eBridge looking for missing cases, if case is missing follow training guidelines.
Perform quality check of scanned images and make appropriate corrections before uploading into ebridge our medical record document housing system.
Produces clean, digital copies of documents for retention purposes.
After scanning, store cases/schedules in an organized fashion, (120 days). At 120 days reach out to supervisor/manager of the department for guidance.
When guided, disposal of documents into security receptacles to be shredded and recycled.
Keep manager/supervisor of department apprised of any issues, any missing files, any missing DOS's/facility.
Maintain good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work, safety procedures, NPH employee handbook and Department Policies and Procedures.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making skills to accomplish goals and creatively problem-solve issues within scope of position.
Detail-oriented individual with sound judgment with a focus on having the job completed in a timely manner with quality, within daily deadlines provided.
Maintains strictest confidentiality.
Some travel may be required to other facilities covering other staff PTO.
Ability to work independently with limited contact with others.
Enjoy/ability to work in a remote environment with supervisor/manager, training being performed within a remote environment.

Qualifications

Experience and Education/Licensing/Certification:

High School graduate or GED equivalent
Two years' document handling, administrative office, auditing, working with numbers experience preferred; one year required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and systems
