    The Team

    We are seeking a Vice President of FP&A to join American Tower's U.S. Tower division's Financial Planning & Analysis team, within the Finance organization. The VP of FP&A is a key leadership role that serves as the primary interface between Finance and U.S. Tower division and Corporate leaders. You will oversee and execute the strategies for each functional area, including FP&A and Finance Data Analytics.

    You will lead a team that serves as the primary finance partner to senior vice presidents and other leaders within the organization, to establish annual budget guidance and monthly forecast processes, provide supporting earnings call materials for the Investor Relations team, and help drive key initiatives such as finance transformation.

    The Vice President of FP&A is responsible for having an in-depth understanding of U.S. Tower businesses and products and providing financial information and analyses that facilitates business operations and decision-making. The VP of FP&A is responsible for ensuring the U.S. Tower division's performance is well understood and that accurate information is provided internally and externally.

    What You Can Offer Us


    Monitor the Company's annual budget, monthly forecasts, interim outlook, and long-term strategic plans across multiple business segments and products and disseminate this information to support decision-making processes.

    Update senior management about the financial effectiveness of Company strategy by implementing and producing a monthly reporting package that includes full financial statements, comprehensive key performance indicator ("KPI") reporting, operational dashboard reporting, key business trends analyses, actual versus budget and forecast variances, as well as comprehensive executive-level explanations of differences.

    In support of quarterly earnings and external reporting, use referenced KPI's and monthly reporting to guide the Investor Relations and Corporate FP&A teams on external messaging provided in earnings presentations, 10Qs and 10Ks.

    Drive efficiencies and increased effectiveness in the process of tracking and monitoring all capital projects, with appropriate links to the annual budget, cash flow forecasts, and REIT reporting.

    Create, implement, and monitor the Company's long-term and multi-year planning models, linking long-term strategy to profit and loss and capital expenditure expectations.

    Establish budget tools and schedules, partnering with the Accounting team to enhance line item detail. Set timelines and act as lead for the entire U.S. Tower division budget to ensure they are accurate, comprehensive, and completed on time.

    Build and drive an efficient, effective, and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analyses that links to the Company's strategic objectives.

    Build custom data models in partnership with the Sales, Operations, and Innovation to manage short-term revenue forecasts for multiple product lines.

    Provide forecasts and budgets for REIT reporting and compliance, including gross income and asset tests.

    Through robust analysis, advise management on decisions about how to improve performance, mitigate risks, and capture new opportunities from within the Company.

    Identify various levers that can be used to optimize financial performance across products and businesses.
    Assist with preparing analysis, commentary, and presentation material for the quarterly executive review meetings and Board of Directors' meetings.
    Track and monitor competitor and customer performance to benchmark business unit performance and customer risks and needs.

    What You Need To Succeed

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
    CPA, CFA, or MBA in Finance strongly preferred.
    Minimum 12 years of progressive FP&A and/or corporate finance management experience required.
    Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams required.
    Exceptional strategic and problem solving skills to effectively influence decision making during key negotiations.
    Demonstrated success at identifying and synthesizing internal and external customer needs into a concise, clear, and influential presentations. Can teach others how to do so as well.

    Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions.

    Demonstrated success at identifying talent and building individual and management capabilities. Proven track record of building successful organizations.
    Experience implementing and using enterprise-wide planning tools and processes preferred.

    Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.

    The ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
    Strong leadership skills and presence; ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve results.
