    JOB SUMMARY: This position involves outside sales activities focussed on promoting company products, building relationships with existing and potential clients. The primary goal is to support Sysco customers' success while meeting sales and profit objectives set by the company. This role may require working non-traditional hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customer demands.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Generate new business, maintain existing accounts, and mitigate lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and specific objectives within the assigned territory
    • Identify and qualify prospects following company account classification targets
    • Understand customer business needs and offer a tailored mix of products and services to meet those requirements
    • Monitor market trends and suggest products to customers based on their business goals and needs
    • Stay updated on market conditions, product innovations, competitors' offerings, prices, and sales trends; share relevant information with customers as part of value-added services
    • Address customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and product usage
    • Provide product information and practical training to customer staff
    • Drive to customer accounts, events, meetings, etc., using personal vehicle
    • Handle accounts receivable collections as needed, collaborating with the credit department and client, ensuring payment compliance with approved credit terms
    • Coordinate deliveries based on the transportation department's schedule, troubleshoot any order-related issues that arise (e.g., out-of-stock items, special orders, low inventory)
    • Engage in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and events
    • Attend and actively participate in general sales and district meetings
    • Take part in ongoing training sessions
    • Assist in training new employees when requested
    • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bid files, sales/gross profit margin data
    • Fulfill administrative tasks like preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, processing credits, pick-up requests, preparing sales quotes and menu suggestions, filing reports
    • Perform any additional assigned duties

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field OR HSD/GED and 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience, or equivalent related experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bi-Lingual
    • Previous experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, Chef roles

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

    • Valid driver's license with a "clean" driving record
    • Current automobile insurance meeting specified liability limits

    Requirement:

    • Successfully complete pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check)
    • Agree to Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement
    • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the territory's geographical vicinity
