    SUMMARY:The Production Finisher is responsible for setting up and executing assembly functions such as insert installation, fastening, bonding and spot welding, part marking, masking, sanding, measuring consistent with Altek's Quality Standards. This role follows a pre-existing Standard Work Instructions as well new instructions as established by the company. Work is done in a modestly fast paced, fun team environment with the goal of creating products to not only meet but exceed our customer's needs.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Able to use light power tools correctly and safely
    • Able to perform highly repetitive tasks while ensuring safety, cost efficiency and quality
    • Close attention to detail when reading, writing or completing all work documentation
    • Perform all assigned tasks, in adherence to documented procedures and tolerances
    • Train and assist new employees with company processes and procedures
    • Ability to rationalize and suggest improvements in existing processes
    • Perform various assembly, insert installation, fastening, bonding and spot welding, part marking, masking, sanding, and measuring on a variety of products prior to shipment
    • Excellent reading and math skills and demonstrate basic computer skills
    • Communicate effectively with other employees in a team environment
    • Read and interpret basic blueprints
    • Exhibit positive communication and behavior skills
    • Maintain high level of quality output while operating as to team ensuring adherence to company's clearly defined policies and procedures
    • Self-motivated and provide team support and assistance other machine operators
    • Possess the traits necessary to learn and promote working in an environment that allows individuals to thrive and grow within the company
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 3 years of manufacturing experience a Plus
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Manual dexterity
    • Ability to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawings
    • Ability to work with various individuals and departments in a team environment
    • Takes pride in and ownership of assigned responsibilities with a focus on quality
    • Ability to stand for full shift
    • Be an active participant and supporter of continuous improvement
