Minerals Technologies Inc. is a leading technology-driven specialty minerals company that develops produces and markets mineral and mineral-based products systems and services serving various consumer and industrial markets around the world MTI focuses on two major segments Consumer & Specialties and Engineered Solutions The operator will work with the plant operations team to develop follow audit standard work participate in 5S Non-Routine Task Assessments residual risk reduction participation in Kaizen events all other lean activities as deemed necessary by plant manager.
Responsibilities
- Move Railcars in out of unloading station using railcar tugger Unloading of railcars into proper storage tank adding additives to finished product receiving incoming raw materials Monitor coal milling operations ensure adjustments are made needed operate blending equipment process preapproved customer orders assist maintenance tasks needed perform clean duties ensure safe comfortable work environment operate forklift needed load unload bulk pneumatic trucks perform all other work deemed necessary by plant manager Must be able able lift # from floor waist Must be able work weather conditions Must be able climb stairs rung ladders not afraid heights Computer knowledge very helpful The operator will required assist areas plant clean up maintenance projects clerical responsibilities required.
