Grade: 2 Non-exempt : X
Immediate Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor
Basic Function or Position Summary:
Keeps premises of office building, apartment house, or other commercial or institutional building in clean and orderly condition. Pay Rate is $16.00/ hour
up to 27.5 hours/weekly
Temporary as needed position
Requirements
Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties:
- Performs pick-up and deliveries as required by Maintenance Manager
- Performs ground maintenance tasks as assigned
- Performs general grounds keeping and landscaping
- Has some basic ability to trouble shoot while on the jobsite and notifies Maintenance Manager of job requirements
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Cuts and trims grass, and shovels snow.
- Completes B&G work orders as assigned
- Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
- Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall.
- Promotes agency mission
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with the code of ethics.
- Maintains consistent professional customer service.
- Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting self sufficiency.
- Other duties as designated by supervisor.
Key Working Relationships:
A. Internal: Building Staff, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Staff, and COI staff
B. External: Suppliers, Customers
Supervisory Scope:
- None
Organizational Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all policies and procedures.
- Gathers appropriate documentation and tracks outcomes.
- Participates in organizational committee structures as appropriate.
- Participates in organizational and divisional management systems.
Knowledge, Skills Required:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Basic skill level in grounds maintenance and general maintenance required.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good team building skill
Physical:
* Exerts heavy force in excess of 50 pounds
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Authorized driver of a COI vehicle.
- Ability to travel throughout the county
- Pre employment drug and alcohol testing required, subject to random drug and alcohol testing for cause.
- Required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, bend and kneel
- Works compassionately with a diverse population.
