- Provides day-to-day supervision of accounts receivable department.
- Manages and performs advanced accounting functions including month-end close activities financial analysis and reporting auditing monitoring activities supervises from two non-exempt accounting staff develops implements maintains accounting systems policies procedures assists in preparations of monthly quarterly annual ad hoc financial reporting supports the annual budget process year end audit other duties as assigned li Bachelor s Degree in accounting or equivalent education experience required At least five years of previous experience in a relevant field must have non profit Government contract experience HUD highly desirable working knowledge Microsoft Office programs e.g Word Excel Outlook required flexibility work nights weekends meet established deadlines key proficiencies include knowledge finance principles practices strong oral written communication abilities ability consistently meet deadlines self motivated accountable timely follow through demonstrates accuracy thoroughness own work ensure quality proficiency governmental fund accounting staff supervision management principles performance monitoring employment activities high level integrity strong ethical values maintain highest standards confidentiality records organization individual information access reliable personal transportation required DMV record permits driver insured under SHELTER Inc automobile coverage criminal background check TB test clearance provided position offers benefits include paid holidays medical insurance group term life insurance accidental death disability long-term disability insurance tuition reimbursement program employee assistance program discount marketplace internal growth opportunities value diversity equal opportunity employer strongly encourage applications from individuals varied backgrounds identities lived experiences notice description guide hire formal job description received upon hire
