    Manufacturing Engineering Co-op

    IFF in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineering Co-op to join our R&D team It's

    leadership ability and a desire for teamwork to our team. The Manufacturing Technology Engineering

    Co-op will apply classroom skills to solve engineering problems in areas of product development and

    process improvement. Whether you love the challenge of process development, productivity

    improvements, or quality focus, there is a variety of opportunities to keep you engaged and challenged.

    Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Supporting Manufacturing Technology Engineering and Process R&D projects including new product development and process improvement in the areas of rate, quality, and yield
      • Leading monthly baseline trials in pilot plant
      • Leading and executing project experiments in application labs and pilot plant
      • Preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly quality reports and presenting to engineering and site management
    • Supporting capital projects by manage new equipment installation and lead documentation and training activities along with operations team
    • Other projects may include exposure to analytical lab, applications, and sensory teams

    Job Requirements


    The following are required:

    • A college sophomore, junior, or senior working towards a BS degree at an ABET accredited program with curriculum focus in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with an interest in Process Engineering work
    • Available to complete 7-month assignment (January 2024 – August 2024)
    • Technical knowledge
      • Mathematics (extensive)
      • Statistics (Basic Level)
      • Laboratory equipment operation and safety (Basic level)
      • MS Office Software
    • Must have a valid working permit to work in the USA
    • Demonstrated ability to collect, process, and analyze data
    • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Willing and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Willing and able to sit or stand for extended periods, including climbing stairs
