    Duties


    • Serves as Supervisory Deputy Project Director for assigned Acquisition system and/or related mission equipment.
    • Leads and coordinates the combined efforts of the Army industrial team in expediting assigned program responsibilities.
    • Reviews programming documents received from HQDA to determine effect on assigned programs.
    • Oversees POM planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight.
    • Directs the development of life cycle documentation for assigned projects and funds.
    • Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
    • Identifies training needs, find ways to improve production and promote team building, recommends awards, and develops performance standards

    • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
    • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Advanced in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
    • The duties of this position require submission of, on an annual basis, OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
    • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with sensitive compartmental information or access for the duration of employment.
    • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
    • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
    • Critical Acquisition Position (CAP)
    This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement
    Must sign DD form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement

    Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience is defined as: 1) managing responsibility for cost, budgeting and program oversight within a defense acquisition program; 2) coordinating acquisition efforts with high level managers to discuss budget, performance objectives, or schedule for an acquisition program; and 3) Leading a team of acquisition professionals by prioritizing/assigning work, assessing performance, and developing subordinates
    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13)
    Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify
    For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted
