- Define, and coordinate with other plant functions, to perform testing and component diagnosis and assess functional risk for any detected deviations
- CAD design of eMotor components/assemblies
- Supplier discussions regarding product and component improvements and change management
- Apply development methods like PE, DRBFM, FMEA, problem solving
- Customer technical communication for technical change or deviation management
- Support other plant functions such as process development, manufacturing and quality
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
- 3 years automotive or aerospace component development experiences for production projects
- 2 years of experience working with NX & TeamCenter, or comparable CAD/PDM program
- 2 years of experience working with SAP for product lifecycle management
- 3 years of experience working with electro-magnetic components (e.g., electric machines, solenoids, transformers)
- Experienced with a min 2 product launches at manufacturing facility as a technical team member
- German language skills
- Travel flexibility domestic (<10%) and international (<10%)
- Experience in RB component development process and methods.
- Knowledge and experiences of electric motor stators
- Experienced in working with various plant functions
- Experienced in component diagnosis and laboratory testing

Job Description
The ideal associate, working onsite in the Charleston, SC manufacturing plant, will perform component development tasks to support production of electric motors.
His/Her tasks will include component diagnosis, functional risk analysis, laboratory testing, and engineering change management for product cost improvements.He/She will work closely with both the engineering teams located in Farmington Hills and Europe as well as plant manufacturing team.
