POSITION OVERVIEWAssists in the day-to-day activities of the construction operations by completing assigned tasksESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESCompletes preparations for grading commercial and residential properties for new construction.

Operate equipment to avoid utility lines, equipment and other workersCompletes assigned tasks efficiently, thoroughly, and in accordance with company production rates and requirementsOperates a variety of heavy equipment such as graders, trucks, power cranes and shovels to move rocks, dirt and other material in accordance with manufacturer and safety standardsUses basic tools safely and properly, including but not limited to, bulldozers, grading rakes, rollers, back hoes, and wheelbarrowsFollows all project plans, material lists, and/or guidelinesEnsures installation of all lawns, plants, and masonry align with company standardsMaintains a clean and safe work site including proper maintenance and care of all company equipmentWorks in a safe manner and reports any/all unsafe conditions to Maintenance/Construction Operations ManagerPromotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesPosition may perform other duties as assigned RequirementsEDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEMinimum 1 year grading industry experience preferred, not requiredSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to perform all aspects of landscape tasks in a safe mannerAbility to manage multiple priorities/tasksWORKING CONDITIONS & EMPLOYMENT STATUSWORKENVIRONMENTOutdoor conditionsExtended work hours during peak seasonsRequires substantial physical activity performing strenuous activities of a productive and technical nature; regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions of extreme heat and extreme cold; consistent exposure to loud noise; potential exposure to air pollution, allergens, dust, pollen, insects, and other potentially harmful naturally occurring hazards; continuous exposure to moving mechanical parts and sharp objects
