A leading manufacturer in Sanford needs a CNC Machinist Direct Hire position, full benefits in a climate controlled manufacturing plant. Shifts - 230p-1130p or 1130p-7a available Pay - $27-30 per hour based on exp This job involves setup/operation/troubleshooting of CNC machines, must have exp with offsets & tool changeouts. 2+ years applicable experience required, if interested please apply and answer the pre-screen questions

Responsibilities

• Effectively operate and maintain three multi spindle, screw, or rotary machines
• Make tool changes and adjustments on screw, rotary, or multi spindle machines and perform quick change tooling on machines in another class
• Complete independent measurements using micrometers, comparators and calipers
• Complete regular preventative maintenance on machines, including changing collets, checking stops and setting feed fingers
• Perform basic troubleshooting when machine problems occur as well as assist with identifying needed repairs
  • Make and maintain setups on all screw machines and produce parts to print on all equipment (ACME, New Britain, Hydromat)
  • Diagnose and correct basic short feeding issues (dirty collet, collet tension adjustment, broken/weak pusher and feed stroke adjustment)
  • Change drills, forming tools, inserts and reamers using setup layout to produce quality parts
