    Position Specific Description

    This fast-paced role spearheads the critical process of managing and supporting the creation, maintenance, and retention of records from oil and gas operations and production. Prepares and/or reviews land contracts including easements, releases, and partial releases of easements, deeds, leases, and miscellaneous contracts subject to Legal review.

    General Description

    The Division Order Supervisor oversees and leads the Division Order and Owner Relations function for the company. Interacts with members of leadership; legal; accounting; and Lease records but primarily responsible for directing and supporting the Division Order Analyst functions. The role assures accurate analysis and interpretation of all documents relating to producing properties including advising appropriate departments of terms and provisions. The position is responsible for assuring and maintaining payee information in the various owner Land Management Systems (i.e., SAP, BA Database, Excalibur, and CRM) in conformance with Company policies, governmental rules, and regulations, and proper management of Company assets. Responsible for recruiting and staffing to ensure workforce headcount and skill set are commensurate with the portfolio of Assets managed and activity levels of the company.

    Primary Job Functions

    • Oversees confirmation of all title documents to ensure marketability and ownership integrity associated with acquisitions, dispositions, and lease purchases/exchanges.
    • Oversees all functions of Division Order Analysts
    • Identifying land and lease management system needs by evaluating vendors and solutions and integrating the systems within company operations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proven experience in Supervisor/Manager role: 7+ years
    • Provide oversight for the analysis of and interpretation of lease provisions, deeds, rights of way, and other agreements.
    • Establish and monitor compliance with Land Administration policies and procedures.
    • Advanced Leadership and team management skills.
    • Responsible for delegating tasks, leading special projects, and ensuring the productivity of the team.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • A proven track record working in Land Administration.
    • Ability to monitor, review, and approve, land teams PTO, activities, questions/needs and ensure adequate support.
    • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with management and the land team.
    • Conduct employee performance reviews and provide direction to the team.
    • Strong people skills, enthusiastic, organized, pleasant, and team player.
    • Broad knowledge of the oil industry and a working knowledge of Lease and Division Orders.
    • Help create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment.
    • Previous experience in mentoring, advising, training & development, and supervising required.

    Job Overview


    This fast paced job spearheads the receipt and distribution of billings and proceeds from oil and gas operations and production. The role supervises Division Order Analysts and Senior Division Order Analysts. Employees in this job determine ownership of the company, working interest partners and royalty holders through analysis of various agreements, title opinions and title documents. Individuals in this job maintain and update ownership records within Excalibur Land System and have significant communication with team members in Land, Operations, Accounting and Reservoir.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities



    • Determines working interests and burdens associated with interests based on title analysis of deeds, assignments, purchase and sale agreements, probate documents, leases and royalty agreements

    • Sets up new Joint Interest Billing (JIB) and revenue decks for processing

    • Updates and maintains accurate ownership records within the Excalibur Land System

    • Analyzes notification of changes to existing interests to determine how they could affect the title analysis and interests in company-operated wells

    • Responds professionally to interest owner inquiries by acting as a liaison with the interest owners, operators and other company departments

    • Takes appropriate action to cure company title defects requested by operators

    • Liaises with operations and monitors well reports to accurately update the well database

    • Reviews, processes and routes division orders for non-operated wells

    • Assists Landmen with divestiture and acquisition activities, including confirming company's interests in existing properties, drafting and compiling schedules, etc.

    • Reviews and updates records based on acquisitions and divestitures

    • Assists internal personnel with various projects that arise from, or that involve, Division Order issues

    • Maintains database to keep records accurate and consistent

    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
