    Job Description Summary
    Join the renowned Penn Engineering team as the PhD Admissions Manager and play a vital role in managing the admissions process for doctoral candidates. This position involves overseeing application reviews, collaborating with faculty committees, and ensuring adherence to program goals and policies. Additionally, the role includes managing graduate fellowships, supporting global partnerships, and optimizing financial aid processes.

    Job Description

    Responsibilities:
    • Admissions
      • Supervise the thorough evaluation of Ph.D. applications to select candidates based on academic qualifications, research potential, and program fit. Collaborate with faculty committees to ensure a fair selection process and compliance with deadlines.
      • Establish and update transparent admissions policies, eligibility criteria, and deadlines. Maintain clear communication with prospective students throughout the application process.
      • Manage Ph.D. applications and fellowships using the Slate system, ensuring efficient processing.
      • Provide timely and accurate information to applicants and address inquiries promptly.
    • Graduate Fellowships
      • Coordinate Ph.D. fellowships, oversee approvals, and communicate effectively with departments. Collaborate on scholarship awards and Global partnership applications.
      • Facilitate award payments in collaboration with Penn Engineering Financial Services.
    • PhD Open Houses & Visit Days
      • Organize and manage Ph.D. events in coordination with departmental teams. Collect feedback and plan for future improvements.
    • Admissions Recruitment
      • Engage in recruitment activities and provide expertise in Ph.D. admissions during webinars and meetings.
      • Collaborate with the Enrollment Team to offer guidance on admissions matters.
    • Data Collection, Analysis, Evaluation & Systems
      • Utilize technology tools for streamlined admissions processes. Analyze data to make informed decisions and track student progress.
      • Implement best practices for data analysis and reporting to drive continuous improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree, 3-5 years of higher education experience, and proficiency in Gsuite and MS Office 365. Familiarity with admissions processes, CRM tools, and technology platforms is essential.
    • Demonstrated expertise in admissions and financial aid, along with a commitment to diversity and inclusion in STEM education.
    • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and effective communication abilities are required.
