- Most of the work will be on Forklifts, Crown stand up lifts, and Big Joe walk behind lifts.
- Strong knowledge of the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of these three types of units.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to a fleet of light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks.
- The fleet also includes CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Perform services and repairs to diesel engines, brakes, tires, AC, and regular PM services are required.
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer.
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles.
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance.
- Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles.
- Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Experience servicing and repairing CAT equipment, generators, aerials, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment – highly desired.
- Experience with Peterbilt, Kenworth, Ford, Chevy Linde, Hyster assets preferred.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly.
- Knowledge of handheld scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles.
- Ability to read schematics and familiarity with processes.
- Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
