    • Deep technical expertise in overseeing and/or handling Specialty/Professional Liability claims, with an emphasis on all aspects of the life of a claim, including strong reserving behaviors, implementation and execution of complex claim and resolution strategies and clear and concise communication with all claim partners.
    • Self-starter who has the ability to manage efficiently and oversee claims across various lines of business with varying degrees of complexity all while partnering and collaborating with others in Claims.
    • Required experience in handling complex/high severity claims in one or more of the following lines of business: Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Architects and Engineers, Technology E&O, D&O, Cyber/Privacy, Media and Crime.
    • Strong working knowledge of insurance coverage and coverage litigation and experience in working with coverage counsel in achieving strategic results aligned with overall claims strategy.
    • Drives technical excellence through mentoring, education, training, and assisting in the creation of technical guidelines and governance.
    • Active partnership with Senior Claim Leadership, Underwriting and Actuary on claims, litigation developments, coverage trends, reserve movements and loss mitigation efforts, with ability to address both micro and macro developments.
    • Identifies emerging legal and claims trends while providing technical guidance to claims and claims partners.
    • Manages and maintains claims Watchlist and implements resolution strategies for claims on that list.
    • Effective engagement in reserve and trial roundtables.
    • Requirements
    • Minimum 10 years of insurance and/or litigation experience.
    • JD degree strongly preferred.
    • 3+ years of claims or law firm leadership experience preferred

    • Salary Overview $150,000 - $200,000 Compensation Overview The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.
